SMS Scam
The scam involves SMS messages which advise that the recipient has won a cash prize in a contest. To claim his/her prize, the SMS instructs the mobile phone user to call a certain telephone number. When a call is made to the designated number, the party on the other side requested the mobile phone user to deposit a fixed sum of money using a pin number into a bank account as a processing fee in order to claim his prize which will be banked into his account within 24-hours. At the end, the mobile phone user did not get the amount promised instead the money deposited has been withdrawn.
